Scott & Adele Filbey Owners
Scott and Adele have both been in the catering industry for over 20 years, 16 of which have been spent on the island.
Before moving to the island, they both worked for 5 star hotels in Bournmouth, where they began their training. They then moved to the island to work with the Sleepwell Group, overseeing the Chesterhouse hotel and Old Bailey bar. Then moved to the CastleMona for the designing and opening of the Office bar. Following that, they ran the Glen Helen Inn for over 8 years, overseeing the design and refurbishment of the establishment, making it one of the most successful wedding venues on the Isle of Man, managing around 40 weddings a year.
Over 3 years ago, they decided it was time to start their own venture. With Peel being their home, they decided it was the perfect location to open their own little restaurant. Then Filbey's was born!
'We feel so lucky and honoured to be part of the community of Peel. Peel is a fantastic place to live and work as we have fresh produce on our doorstep. Allowing us to bring you the very best and freshest dishes!' -Adele
'It's fantastic to have such high quality, local produce available to us, such as Close Leece Farm, Apple Orphanage, Green Mann Springs and of course the amazing fishing boats that come in to our harbour!' -Scott
Jessica McLeman Manager
Jess was born in Scotland and moved to the island at a young age with her family.
She started working and training with Scott and Adele at the Glen Helen Inn at the age of 18. She was trained to manage and organise weddings whilst there. She moved away to London to study Biochemical Engineering at university. During her studies, she worked in numerous cocktail and wine bars, managing some of the biggest functions and finest bars. Gaining lots of knowledge in new ideas in the catering industry. On completion of her degree, Jess realised her love and passion was in catering and the Isle of Man. She decided to move back and rejoin the Filbey team.
After a short period of time, she realised this was what she wanted as a full time career and swiftly moved up to become the manager of Filbey's.

Scott Kelso Chef
Scott started working in the catering industry at the age of 16 in Motherwell, Scotland. He began working in Brewers Fayre pub chain and moved around the country with the company for several years. He then moved to Bolton to begin to fine tune his skills working for 5 star hotels and bistros. He met his lovely wife Laura whilst working in Bolton, and moved to the Isle of Man with her and her family 6 years ago. He then joined Scott Filbey and the Glen Helen team. His experience at the Glen Helen alongside Gary Wethers, one of the top chefs in Ireland, helped him develop his skills even further, bringing a creative twist to traditional dishes.
When Scott and Adele opened Filbey's, Scott Kelso was the perfect fit to work alongside Scott Filbey in the kitchen. They now together create fantastic dishes using the very best of local produce.
